Our Mission

About the West Virginia Interstate Fair & Exposition

The West Virginia Interstate Fair & Exposition, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to youth development, agricultural education, community fellowship, domestic arts, and local commerce. Held annually at the WV Interstate Fairgrounds in Mineral Wells, WV, the fair brings together generations of families for four days of country celebration.

Nonprofit Purpose

The purpose of this association is to promote and encourage agriculture, youth development through 4-H and FFA, commerce, domestic arts, photographic arts, and community interest. All proceeds go toward fairgrounds maintenance, youth premiums, and facility improvements.

Fairgrounds Location

Located at 2230 Butcher Bend Road in Mineral Wells, West Virginia (just 2 miles off Rt. 14 South from I-77 Exit 170). The fairgrounds feature permanent commercial exhibit buildings, livestock barns, a dirt track arena, horse ring, and spacious parking.

Admission Information

Admission tickets cover general fairgrounds access, track event viewing, main stage music, and carnival ride stamp!

Ticket Category Rate Details & Inclusions
Daily Ticket (Wed – Sat) $10.00 Includes general admission, track events, main stage music, and Carnival Ride Stamp for ages 3 and over.
Children Under 3 Years Free Entry Free general admission for children under 3. (Note: Optional Carnival Ride Stamp is available for 1/2 price at the Carnival Ticket Stand).
3-Day Fair Pass $21.00 Multi-day pass valid for admission across 3 fair days.
Senior Night (Wednesday) $5.00 Special $5.00 admission rate for Senior Citizens on Wednesday, June 16, 2027. Includes Senior activities and meal.
Armed Forces Day (Friday) Free with ID Active Duty and Active Reserve Military personnel admitted FREE on Friday with valid Military ID.

Note: No refunds or rain checks at the gate. Ticket policies based on traditional fair guidelines and subject to final board confirmation for 2027.

Safety & Rules

General Fairgrounds Rules

🚫 Alcoholic Beverages

Alcoholic beverages are strictly PROHIBITED on the Fairgrounds at all times.

🐾 Livestock & Pet Health

Animals on the fairgrounds must meet State of West Virginia health requirements. Negative Coggins required for horses; veterinary health papers may be checked. Pets must not run loose.

🛡️ Liability & Precaution

The West Virginia Interstate Fair & Exposition, Inc. or its members will not be responsible for accidents sustained on grounds. The Fair takes every reasonable precaution for exhibit safekeeping.

📜 Rule Interpretation

The Board of Directors reserves the sole right to construe fair rules and regulations and determine all matters regarding exhibit placement and awards.
